Letting readers follow your blog

1. Sign into Blogger

2. In the top left, click the down arrow and choose your blog

3. In that same left menu, click "Layout"

4. Click in whichever box / format you'd like to add your "Followers" gadget.

5. Upon clicking the gadget you will see a popup, you can choose what to name your followers button.

6. Once you have, Click save.

Making your blog private

1. Sign into Blogger

2. In the top left side of the blogger website, choose your blog.

3. From the same menu, look for "Settings"

4. Under "permissions" Click "Reader access"

5. Once you do, a popup will appear and you will be faced with 3 different options.
- Public: anyone and everyone can view your blog
- Private to authors: Only authors that you have added onto your blog can view content
- Custom readers: Only readers that are invited can view your blog

6. Once you have selected, click "Save" on the bottom right hand corner








How To: share content to other sites

1. Sign into Blogger

2. In the top left corner, select the blog of your choosing.

3. In that same left task bar, select "Layout"

4. In the "Page body" section or "Main" section, find the one titled "Blog posts" and click edit on the lower right hand side of it.

5. Make sure the "Show share buttons" icon is green and if not, click on it to then display those share buttons under your posts.

6. Now, go to your blog page and click the post you'd like to cross-share onto another platform. 

7. Right before you get to the comments, all of the share buttons will be displayed for your choosing. Just click the ones you'd like to share with.

Blogger is a Free service!

Blogger offers toolkits and special features such as insertions of 
- images
- videos
- gifs
- and special characters to your text

As well as Gadgets that let you add features such as advertising, subscription links, contact forms and more!

We keep things simple here. You can create Static webpages, blog pages and posts. But the content you put within them is free range and up to you.

For accessibility Blogger offers Alt text and caption support. 

For a little bit of better understanding, Blogger is typically used by small business owners, the every day person. Its why things are kept simple and easy to navigate, without the headache of all the hard stuff. 

If at any point you wanted to buy your own domain, you certainly can at Blogger! If that's not an interest, don't worry, Blogger is free regardless.

1. Reload the page you're currently on by clicking the circular arrow button next to the URL bar on the top left of your screen.

2. Make sure your browsers are updated or check to see if they need to be.

3. Switch to a different browser. There are downloadable browsers like Chrome and Firefox in addition to Internet explorer and Safari.

4. Clear your cache and cookies.

5. Or even try browsing in incognito / private mode.

Setting up a domain

1. Start by signing into Blogger

2. In the top left, select your blog of choice

3. From that same taskbar, go down and select "Settings"

4. A page will appear, scroll until you hit the "Publishing" category and click "Custom Domain"

5. Upon clicking, a popup will appear where you then can enter your domain name of choice. Once that's settled, click on the "Save" button on the bottom right of the popup.

6.  After this, follow the instructions that follow.

How To: Change your blogs design

Applying a new design

1. Start by signing into Blogger

2. Choose the blog you want to apply these updates to in the upper left hand corner

3. Once you have selected, on the left menu click "Layout"

4. A page with different compartments of your blog will appear and here you can choose where to add a gadget that will change your layout.

this is just an example of where you can add a Gadget, you can incorporate them in more places than the one shown above. 

5. Upon clicking "+ Add a Gadget" a popup will appear on your screen with various options of the types of gadgets available.

6. Choose your Gadget, fill in the needed information upon request and click "Save" at the bottom right corner to apply it to your blog.

1. Begin by initially signing into blogger with your account of choice.

2. At the top right hand side, click on the circle with your existing profile picture.

3. Upon clicking it a popup right under it will appear, click on "add another account".

4. Now you can switch between all your accounts by simply pressing the circle and clicking the next account you want to open. For every account you click open, it will add a new tab to the top of your browser.

1. Start off by signing in or choosing your Blogger account of choice

1. Start off by following the link - Help: Blogger report

2. Once you have clicked the webpage open, you will be faced with a screen like the one below.

3. Upon clicking "report content" it will take you to a screen that will prompt you with four questions to help with clarification on your report.

Theme customization

1. Start off on your Blogger home page.

2. On the left hand side tool bar, scroll and click on the tab labeled as "Theme".

3. Once you do, a variety of themes will be at your disposal. The ones shown below are just a fraction of how many are available to you.

4. After selecting one, you can either click "customize" to change font color and column widths or "apply".


5. Upon clicking "apply" it will have set it as your blogger theme and you're all ready to go!

How To: Add images + videos to your blog post

Adding images

1. Start by signing in to Blogger

2. At the top left select your blog of choice by clicking the down bar.

3. Once selected, choose the page or post you'd like to edit your images in or create a new post/page entirely from scratch.

4. From there, take a look at the tool bar at the top of your page and select the image icon.

Here you can upload from the storage files of your computer, photos, photos you may have already incorporated in other blog posts or by pasting a link in "By URL"

5. After selecting your image of choice from these options click select on the bottom left hand corner.

6. Now that you have it on your page you can edit its size by pinching and moving its margins.

7. When clicking said image to resize, a tool bar will appear at the bottom that also helps with repositioning and condensing the image.

On the left hand side of the tool bar, underneath the purple arrow, are 3 options of realignment. 
Left, Center, and Right. 

On the right hand side, underneath the blue arrow, are two different methods of resizing. 

The first gives you a selection of sizes from which you can choose from. Ranging from small to extra large.

The second option which is the tool icon does the exact same as well as add 2 other textual features that will be discussed in a future post. If for some reason the first isn't working for you, luckily there's a second!
