Letting readers follow your blog

1. Sign into Blogger

2. In the top left, click the down arrow and choose your blog

3. In that same left menu, click "Layout"

4. Click in whichever box / format you'd like to add your "Followers" gadget.

5. Upon clicking the gadget you will see a popup, you can choose what to name your followers button.

6. Once you have, Click save.

Making your blog private

1. Sign into Blogger

2. In the top left side of the blogger website, choose your blog.

3. From the same menu, look for "Settings"

4. Under "permissions" Click "Reader access"

5. Once you do, a popup will appear and you will be faced with 3 different options.
- Public: anyone and everyone can view your blog
- Private to authors: Only authors that you have added onto your blog can view content
- Custom readers: Only readers that are invited can view your blog

6. Once you have selected, click "Save" on the bottom right hand corner








How To: share content to other sites

1. Sign into Blogger

2. In the top left corner, select the blog of your choosing.

3. In that same left task bar, select "Layout"

4. In the "Page body" section or "Main" section, find the one titled "Blog posts" and click edit on the lower right hand side of it.

5. Make sure the "Show share buttons" icon is green and if not, click on it to then display those share buttons under your posts.

6. Now, go to your blog page and click the post you'd like to cross-share onto another platform. 

7. Right before you get to the comments, all of the share buttons will be displayed for your choosing. Just click the ones you'd like to share with.

Blogger offers toolkits and special features such as insertions of 
- images
- videos
- gifs
- and special characters to your text

As well as Gadgets that let you add features such as advertising, subscription links, contact forms and more!

We keep things simple here. You can create Static webpages, blog pages and posts. But the content you put within them is free range and up to you.

For accessibility Blogger offers Alt text and caption support. 

For a little bit of better understanding, Blogger is typically used by small business owners, the every day person. Its why things are kept simple and easy to navigate, without the headache of all the hard stuff. 

If at any point you wanted to buy your own domain, you certainly can at Blogger! If that's not an interest, don't worry, Blogger is free regardless.

Troubleshooting errors and other problems

1. Reload the page you're currently on by clicking the circular arrow button next to the URL bar on the top left of your screen.

2. Make sure your browsers are updated or check to see if they need to be.

3. Switch to a different browser. There are downloadable browsers like Chrome and Firefox in addition to Internet explorer and Safari.

4. Clear your cache and cookies.

5. Or even try browsing in incognito / private mode.

Setting up a domain

1. Start by signing into Blogger

2. In the top left, select your blog of choice

3. From that same taskbar, go down and select "Settings"

4. A page will appear, scroll until you hit the "Publishing" category and click "Custom Domain"

5. Upon clicking, a popup will appear where you then can enter your domain name of choice. Once that's settled, click on the "Save" button on the bottom right of the popup.

6.  After this, follow the instructions that follow.
